The Aiken County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Council (ACTPPC) was developed in 1994 as a 501(c)3 organization through a partnership among public institutions and private citizens within the community.

Help Empower Youth

aikenstand youngpeoplecareerHelping Hands and the Columbia Urban League recently teamed up to start the Aiken Youth Leadership Development Institute. 

The program is for teenagers who are considered at risk or are in foster care, and there are 36 participants from Aiken and Edgefield counties.

The institute is funded by the S.C. Department of Social Services and offered through Helping Hands’ Aiken Youth Empowerment division.
