The Aiken County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Council (ACTPPC) was developed in 1994 as a 501(c)3 organization through a partnership among public institutions and private citizens within the community.

teenpregnancyTeen pregnancy prevention efforts in Aiken County will receive a major boost in funding from a federal grant that is worth $7 million.

Aiken County will share the money with Anderson and Orangeburg counties. Over a five-year period, which begins this month, $1.4 million will be distributed annually.

“This type of funding has the potential to be a game changer for the young people of Aiken County,” said Forrest Alton, CEO of the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.
